After 16 months of waiting, the new Archbishop of Manila was installed this morning at the Manila Cathedral. The celebration started with the entrance of the archbishop at the historic Postigo gate of Intramuros where he was welcomed by Manila Mayor Francisco Moreno Domagoso and Intramuros Administrator Atty. Guiller Asido. He then processed towards the Ayuntamiento where a civic reception was held with the mayors of the five cities within the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese. Cardinal Advincula finally proceeded to the Manila Cathedral for the Rite of Reception and Canonical Installation where he celebrated his first Mass as Archbishop of Manila.
