The Manila Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception was the venue of the celebration of the 23rd World Day of Sick which was held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
It was an activity of the Archdiocese of Manila spearheaded by the Order of Malta-Philippines in coordination with the Ministry of Health Care of the Archdiocese of Manila.
The 23rd World Day of the Sick was celebrated through the offering of the Holy Eucharist and Anointing of the Sick. The Eucharist was presided by Most Reverend Teodoro C. Bacani, Jr, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Novaliches. There were around twenty priests who concelebrated. Among them were Msgr. Bong Lo, Chaplain of the Order of Malta-Philippines and Fr. Manuel Abogado, Minister, RCAM Ministry of Health Care.
